– The latest word on Jeff Hardy’s WWE status is that he is scheduled to be done for the time being either at SummerSlam or one, maybe two TV tapings after. There are no plans or a timetable for his return but he is telling everyone he expects to Due back soon.
– Lilian Garcia’s contract is also expiring with WWE at the end of the month. She is getting married and is expected to be done with WWE soon.
– There is a lot of talk internally of having DX vs. Legacy in the main event position at SummerSlam, even though it would go against the tradition of ending with a title match. The feeling is that if CM Punk is going to beat Jeff Hardy for the World Title, which there’s a good chance of that, it’s better to end SummerSlam on a happy note. This would also indicate that John Cena isn’t planned to take the WWE Title from Randy Orton but that’s not confirmed.
