UFC Fighter Punches Fan In Video At PPV

UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan recently grabbed the headlines after he got physical with a fan as he walked out for UFC 300. A video clip has also surfaced on social media.

It has been noted that before defeating Charles Oliveira (34-10 MMA, 22-10 UFC) by split decision in their lightweight bout on the main card at T-Mobile Arena, Tsarukyan (22-3 MMA, 9-2 UFC) threw his first punch at a person in the crowd.

Well, it is not clear what got Tsarukyan riled up. However, he managed to hit an overhand right on a fan as he walked out to his fight. Check out the video below via Championship Rounds:

Tsarukyan has now won nine of his past 10 and he has been dealing with boos dating back to the UFC 300 Q&A. The 27-year-old called out UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev, whom he lost to in his octagon debut on short notice.

It was unclear at the time what prompted this reaction but in his post-fight scrum, Tsarukyan shed light on the incident, saying the fan accosted him and made an offensive gesture, and he retaliated.

He showed me ‘F*** you’ and he wanted to punch me and I wanted to punch him back,” Tsarukyan said. “That’s it. So guys, no one show me ‘F*** you.’ It doesn’t matter who you are, I’m going to punch you in the face. You can show me ‘F***’ from like 200 meters, I’m not going to punch you. But when you’re close to me, it’s, like automatically, I’m from Russia. Don’t do that, please, or I’m going to go to prison in U.S.”
