Valentina Shevchenko Sister Posts Rigged Fight Photos

Valentina Shevchenko’s sister Antonina Pantera took to her Instagram and uploaded photos of her sister’s fight against Alexa Grasso, which ended in controversy, which is why she claimed that the fight was simply rigged.

Valentina Shevchenko’s highly-anticipated rematch against Alexa Grasso at Noche UFC ended in a controversial split draw, leaving the former champion deeply disappointed. The five-round bout featured both fighters winning multiple rounds on all three judges’ scorecards. However, it was a pivotal 10-8 score given by judge Mike Bell in the fifth round that led to the contentious decision.

Shevchenko expressed her frustration at the post-fight press conference, asserting, “I think three rounds I won, two rounds maybe were hers. But I feel the 10-8 in the fifth round, it’s completely unfair.”

The fifth round began with Shevchenko controlling the stand-up exchanges and appeared to be on her way to a unanimous decision victory to recapture the title she had lost to Grasso in March.

However, a takedown attempt by Shevchenko in the final moments of the round failed, resulting in Grasso taking her back and attempting a rear-naked choke, reminiscent of their first encounter. This time, Shevchenko survived, and she believed she had secured the win.

Shevchenko couldn’t understand how a 10-8 scorecard was warranted, particularly in light of her dominant performance during most of the round. She suggested that the occasion, being Mexican Independence Day, may have influenced the judge’s decision.
