Vince McMahon Cancels Major Smackdown Debut

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon takes the important decisions of the company. The fans have been observing how NXT 2.0 star Von Wager showed up on SmackDown but he was removed from the show immediately. The fans wanted to know what the deal was as he never returned, but there is a reason for that. Recently, Vince McMahon’s WWE retirement rumor were surfacing.

Vince McMahon did not like Von Wagner

Wagner’s SmackDown cameo was mentioned once in passing by Kyle O’Reilly on NXT 2.0 the week after they aired the angle on SmackDown. Then it was never picked back up. Ringside News had reported at the time that Vince McMahon felt that Adam Pearce needed a bodyguard.

After a few weeks of absence of Wagner from the blue brand programming, a tenured member of the creative team confirmed to Ringside News that, “Vince decided ‘I don’t like it.’” Thus the angle was dropped after that.

Von Wagner’s character on NXT 2.0 saw a change since then. He turned on Kyle O’Reilly and went heel. Now Wagner is on NXT 2.0 and he is striving to find his place on the roster. Cal Bloom has a ton of potential in WWE, and that short cameo on SmackDown likely won’t be his final appearance on the main roster. Vince McMahon just didn’t like him in a bodyguard role at this time.

We will have to see how WWE decides to work out his main roster call up when it happens. But as far as the things are concerned right now, he is unlikely to immediately be called to the blue brand.
