Vince McMahon Changes Name Of WWE Title

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is eyeing to give the fans a great time at WrestleMania 38 with the blockbuster matches at the show. The WWE Universe is eagerly waiting for WrestleMania Sunday’s headlining match between the WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and WWE Champion Brock Lesnar which has been billed as ‘Winner Take All’ and Championship Unification Match. It seems that WWE could be changing the name of the title which will be held by the winner.

Vince McMahon is reportedly planning for ‘Unified WWE Champion’

There has been a lot of speculation as to what it means for the future of both world titles following the WrestleMania 38 event that will take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. As per the reports of the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the current plan for the winner of Lesnar vs. Reigns is to be referred to as the “Unified WWE Champion.”

“For however long it lasts, Wrestling Observer Newsletter says WWE will refer to the winner of Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns as the ‘Unified WWE Champion’.”

WWE recently held a live event at the iconic venue of Madison Square Garden. In the main event of the night, ‘The Beast Incarnate’ successfully defended his title against Austin Theory with a comprehensive win. Following the match, ‘The Tribal Chief’ assaulted Lesnar to the point where the WWE Champion was busted open and shed a good amount of blood. Reigns then went on to hold both the WWE and Universal titles, asking Lesnar to acknowledge him. We will have to see if that is the scene we will witness at ‘The Grandest Stage of Them All.’

During the post-AEW Revolution media scrum, AEW star CM Punk stated how ‘relieved’ he was to learn that AEW President Tony Khan bought Ring of Honor instead of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Credit to WrestlingHeadlines for the below quote.

“I was relieved,” Punk said. “Let’s be honest. Either Tony was gonna buy it, or Vince [McMahon] was gonna buy it. And I don’t want Vince to own my footage. He owns enough of it and I don’t get paid off it.”
