Will Smith has concluded the filming of Bad Boys 4 in Miami, Florida, offering a glimpse of behind-the-scenes moments on his social media. The 55-year-old Men in Black star shared pictures from his time in Miami, featuring co-star Martin Lawrence, rapper Fat Joe, and DJ Skrillex. Smith also posted a short video of himself eating plain spaghetti in his hotel suite, playfully captioned ‘Miami roll.’
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air alum reprised his role as Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey in the fourth installment of the Bad Boys franchise, with Lawrence returning as Detective Lieutenant Marcus Burnett. Production resumed on February 26 after a seven-month hiatus caused by the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
The film is set to premiere in the U.S. on June 7. The plot remains under wraps but is anticipated to follow the franchise’s formula, focusing on the investigations of narcotics officers Mike and Marcus as they confront dangerous criminals. Vanessa Hudgens, Alexander Ludwig, DJ Khaled, and others are also reprising their roles in the highly successful franchise.
The completion of production marks a significant milestone, especially after a pause due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike and reports of a hiatus linked to Will Smith’s Oscars incident in April 2022.
