The highlight of this 10-acre glamping park is the mammoth two-story recreation vehicles (RVs), each approximately 1,200 square feet. Notably, these RVs were previously owned by major celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, and Simon Cowell.
Owners Ron and Natalie Anderson, with a history of renting buses and trailers to celebrities through Rock & Roll Buses, transitioned to creating custom trailers for stars seeking a more luxurious and comfortable on-set experience. However, when the pandemic halted productions, celebrities had less use for their trailers, leading the Andersons to repurchase some units and establish a glamping resort in East Austin. The ranch, operating under the eviivo Collective property management system, opened in November 2022, offering a unique stay at a reasonable price of $295 a night.
Touring the RVs reveals their remarkable size, livability, and luxurious features that reflect the tastes of their previous owners. Will Smith’s trailer, known as “The Heat,” boasts rich wood details, a steam shower, and a 100-inch TV. Ron Anderson emphasizes that celebrities like Smith sought more space for various activities rather than simply having the biggest trailer as a status symbol. Other trailers, such as Vin Diesel’s “The Aspen,” feature extravagant touches like an indoor putting green and a luxury bathroom.
The trailers, originally designed for specific clients, have seen multiple owners and sometimes require modifications for public use. For instance, Simon Cowell’s RV underwent remodeling to accommodate public stays, including the removal of a massive bathtub to make space for a bed.
The 7744 Ranch attracts a diverse clientele seeking a private getaway in the woods, with visitors celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, or attending local events. The unique appeal of staying in RVs previously owned by celebrities adds an extra layer of allure to this glamping experience.
