WWE Allegedly ‘Covered Up’ Assault Of Top Diva

The wrestling world has been rocked by allegations of a cover-up surrounding the late Ashley Massaro’s claim of rape during her time with WWE, implicating top executives including Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis. Legal documents and testimonies shed light on a disturbing narrative of alleged sexual assault and subsequent efforts to silence Massaro.

In a sworn affidavit released posthumously in 2019, Massaro detailed a harrowing incident in 2006 during a WWE tour in Kuwait. She alleged being injected with a paralyzing drug and raped by an individual posing as a U.S. Army doctor. Shockingly, she claimed that McMahon and Laurinaitis, among other executives, instructed her to remain silent about the assault to safeguard the company’s relationship with the military.

The gravity of Massaro’s allegations prompted an investigation by the Naval Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS), although details remain undisclosed. Despite WWE’s denial of Massaro’s claims, new evidence has emerged over the years, including statements from former wrestlers and corroborating testimonies, casting doubt on the company’s stance.

Paul London, a former WWE wrestler and Massaro’s ex-boyfriend, attested to her allegations and likened WWE’s environment to a cult-like atmosphere. His revelations highlight a pervasive culture of exploitation and abuse within the wrestling industry.

Following Massaro’s tragic death by suicide in 2019, her story gained renewed attention, with legal battles and appeals ongoing. Despite WWE’s staunch denial and legal maneuvers, Massaro’s affidavit, made under oath, remains a crucial piece of evidence.

The fallout from these allegations extends beyond legal proceedings, underscoring broader systemic issues within professional wrestling. Massaro’s ordeal sheds light on the power dynamics and mistreatment endured by female performers in a male-dominated industry.

As the wrestling community grapples with the implications of Massaro’s revelations, her story serves as a stark reminder of the need for accountability and transparency in addressing allegations of sexual misconduct and abuse.
