WWE announces Iron Man Match for Extreme Rules

Seth Rollins lost his Intercontinental Championship to Dolph Ziggler a few weeks ago. The Showoff has been a thorn in the side of Rollins since then, and the WWE finally revealed what kind of match the two will have at Extreme Rules.

On Twitter today, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced that Seth Rollins will challenge for the Intercontinental Championship on July 15th when he takes on Dolph Ziggler in a 30-minute Iron Man Match.

For a PPV named Extreme Rules, there is a severe lack of “extreme” matches on the card. With the show a week from this Sunday, the WWE doesn’t have a lot of time left.

  • I feel like you can’t call a 30 minute match an Iron Man match when the bigger matches often get that much time to go at PPVs anyway. Iron Man matches should always be 60 minutes.
