Rapper Bad Bunny teamed up with Damian Priest and faced off against the team of The Miz and John Morrison in a tag team match on Night One of WrestleMania 37. Bad Bunny’s performance surpassed all expectations as he performed of a lifetime in the match, ultimately resulting in a win for his team. A gross backstage picture of Bad Bunny was also recently released.
The match was previously going to be a singles match between The Miz and Bad Bunny until it became a tag team affair. It seems there was a reason for the change, as two wrestlers were already injured going into the match. Since then he has been absent from WWE television as he was busy with his musical career and his Ultimo tour.
According to a report by Ringside News, Bad Bunny is currently scheduled for the Royal Rumble premium live event. It was revealed by a tenured member of the creative team that Bad Bunny is “in the Rumble.” Brad Shepard previously reported this and said that the code “Mean Rabbit” was used backstage. Ringside News was also told, “There are no code words. That’s stupid. Bad Bunny always looking to do more with WWE.”
Should Bad Bunny appear he will be the second of two notable celebrities to participate in this year’s WWE 2022 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. Actor and Stuntman Johnny Knoxville, of MTV Jackass, will be in the men’s Royal Rumble match. As is tradition, the event will feature separate Royal Rumble matches for both male and female superstars with several surprises bound to take place for each particular contest.
While the men’s Royal Rumble is geared to be very A-lister-centric, the ladies’ Royal Rumble match will feature Impact Wrestling Knockout’s World Champion Mickie James along with several other surprise entrants. The 2022 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is scheduled to take place on January 29, 2022, at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
The Royal Rumble will include a few returns and surprises. We have one for you.
We were told that Bad Bunny "will be in the Rumble" this Saturday. No word on whether a WrestleMania program is coming, but we wouldn't be surprised.
