WWE Contacts Tommy Dreamer for Upcoming Brand Split

According to a report form the Wrestling Observer, former WWE and ECW star Tommy Dreamer was backstage at this week’s SmackDown tapings to discuss a possible return for the WWE’s upcoming Brand Extension Draft. The deal, however, stated that Dreamer would not be allowed to run his House of Hardcore promotion. No news yet on the negotiation’s progression.

There is no way he should do toss away his promotion he worked hard to build up just for WWE to toss him a bone. Be serious WWE could call him up today and he could be gone by Survivor Series.

It would be fine if they let him do both, but having to shut down his fed just to be a mid-card jobber is about as dumb as it gets. WWE never HAS used Tommy Dreamer properly. No reason to expect them to start now.

Well in fairness to the Dudleyz theyve done their job, now theyre just happy to put the younger guys over

Then the fact that he couldn’t run his promotion as well. He’d get lost in the shuffle. Lose/lose for him.

this is the point. I have nothing but respect for the man and love his career, I just do not see what he could actually bring to the table at this point in his career, unless they actually decided to bring back the hardcore division (which is not going to happen).
other than a pay cheque, I don’t see how he would benefit personally either. look at how poorly the Dudleys have been handled since their return.

Seeing as theres mainly negative comments here im going to post something positive, i have no issues with him returning, although with the ECW brand long gone i dont know what theyd do with him. However i wouldnt mind seeing him as a manager to somebody

  • D2K

No way he should do this. Not at all.

  • JC Bolden

Right I appreciate what Dreamer has done but that moment is loooooong gone

  • CC

not sure I see the point of Dreamer returning as on screen talent,
