Robbie Fox, of Barstool Sports, who is known to be connected to some backstage in WWE and has a decent track record of getting things right in the past, tweeted this earlier:
WWE Crown Jewel could be in trouble.
I was just told Reigns is currently injured and that Cena and Bryan are “refusing” to work the show. Many on the current WWE roster have expressed concerned with going, as well, but obviously not all of them have the power like Cena/Bryan.

Reigns is backstage for tonight’s Raw in Providence according to PWInsider so time will tell whether Fox is correct. It’s worth nothing that the Universal Champion did miss all three house shows he was advertised for last weekend, and whilst cards are subject to change, a star of Reigns’ calibre would generally not be pulled from a show unannounced. A source in WWE has said Reigns was given the weekend off.
WWE stars have reportedly been reluctant to work the show, but this is the first time specifics names have been mentioned, and if accurate, it’s notable both are stars of that calibre.
The company has remained silent about their plans for the November 2 show, however that is likely to change shortly. Do you guys think the show should go ahead? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
