Fightful also reported that the company was hoping to keep it amicable. Both the parties were very aware that the situation wasn’t working out.

Fightful also claimed that a WWE source had informed them that the company was very sure about the decision even before the May 24th edition of Raw hit the air.

Adnan recently spoke to Jimmy Traina on the Sports Illustrated Media podcast, and revealed how he received positive feedback from Vince McMahon after his second show. He said:

“I met him after the second show and he was great. He was really supportive and gave me great feedback. He’s giving real-time feedback. I know what he’s feeling. When you’re there, as a lifelong fan, there’s so much that goes through your mind when you see Vince McMahon. Obviously, you think of him and what he’s done on the air, but off the air, it’s one of the great American success stories ever. As I was talking to him, it’s tough not to think of all these accomplishments.”

Following his release, he also thanked WWE for giving him the opportunity to work with them. He had called the recently concluded WWE WrestleMania Backlash pay-per-view and his final event on Raw on Monday, May 24.
