RVD fires back at a fan after his in-ring return tease
In a backstage segment at Pro Wrestling NOAH, the WWE Hall Of Famer had an altercation with Japanese wrestler Nosawa. The two then hinted at a match that will take place at Budokan in July. This will signal RVD’s first match in a long time. A fan took to Twitter and criticized RVD for his upcoming in-ring return, calling it a bad idea. RVD replied to the fan, dismissing him for being silly.
I‘ve only been away from YOU, sweet tits. Not the ring. Are you one of the silly fans that comments under my upcoming wrestling posters with “ Are you retired”?

Rob Van Dam recently expressed his distaste towards the approach of current wrestlers, citing how things have changed from “protect the business” to “safety first.” The WWE Hall of Famer discussed the matter on a recent episode of the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling:
He spoke on wrestling today being very different from how he was trained. He said:
“I’m still offended by a lot of the stuff that I see nowadays. Because I was taught, and I hate it when people say, ‘Oh, I wasn’t brought up that way,’ no one was brought up that way, we have to adapt. Your perception changes when you’re an adult … The number one rule was to protect the business, always, always, always was, and then somewhere way down the road, it became, ‘Number one rule: safety first.’ Like, what?”
