WWE Fired Name Gets ‘Deadline’ After Alleged Assault

There have been recent headlines that are dominated by allegations against former WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon. This involves him in a lawsuit alleging involvement in sex trafficking, and sharing of nude photos and explicit videos of Janel Grant, a former WWE employee without her consent, among other accusations.

The lawsuit also implicates the company itself and former WWE Executive John Laurinaitis. Meanwhile, a statement from Laurinaitis’s lawyer noted his denial of the allegations and his intention to vigorously defend himself against what they termed a misguided complaint.

The lawyer argued Laurinaitis’s innocence and portrayed him as a victim rather than a perpetrator and even expressed confidence that the truth will prevail. Court documents obtained by PW Insider suggests that Laurinaitis has taken steps to address the lawsuit, filing a waiver of service on March 20 with the United States District Court of Connecticut.

This action indicates his acknowledgment of the lawsuit filed by Grant and others without requiring formal service. Laurinaitis has committed to responding within the specified timeframe, signaling his readiness to address the allegations laid against him.

There have been a lot of turmoil regarding the controversial matter and there have been already some shuffles taking place in the company. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for John Laurinaitis.
