WWE Fired Star Is Going To Rehab

Alberto Del Rio faced charges of second-degree sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping. However, it seems those charges are no longer on record. Del Rio’s accuser, who is his ex-girlfriend, previously made an apology post for her ”mistakes” on Instagram. Del Rio’s brother responded to this by calling her a garbage person and a liar.

Alberto Del Rio was one of the top Superstars in WWE and he always had Ricardo Rodriguez as his special announcer. Mike Johnson of PW Insider reported last year that Rodriguez worked on the Spanish announce team for AEW’s Dynamite and Rampage taping in Boston. However, it was not said whether it will be a permanent position for him or if it was simply a one-time thing.

Ricardo Rodriguez recently took to Twitter and revealed that he will be returning to rehab to deal with his addiction to alcohol. This came after Ricardo Rodriguez celebrated being sober for one whole year.

In other news, Brock Lesnar is undoubtedly one of the most dominant pro wrestlers to have ever competed inside the squared circle. He had two tremendous runs in WWE, both of which resulted in him winning major World Championships and being a huge draw for fans. Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE television ever since he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 last year.

During an interview last year with the It’s My House Podcast, Alberto’s long-time ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez discussed if he would ever go back to the WWE. Credit to Wrestling Inc for the below.

“I hope so. I would love to,” Rodriguez stated. “I would love to return to that company. They made me. They made it so even now people don’t know me by my real name. They’ll just say Ricardo and I respond to that. So, I would love to. I would love to go back to, whether it’s in front of the camera or behind the scenes. Throughout the last five, six years after I left the WWE and then all these excursions that I’ve been on, I’ve gone to learn different hats you know? Producing, being an agent, being the timekeeper, being in gorilla, training. I’ve learned so many hats that I would love to go back and if it’s not in the ring at least behind the scenes. And I would love if WWE ever does come to Egypt or even to India, if they do end up doing something there I’d love to be a part of that.”
