WWE Have 12 Names In Trafficking Woman Scandal

A former employee of WWE has sued founder Vince McMahon and has alleged that he abused and sexually exploited her during Vince’s run in the company as CEO. The former WWE employee, Janel Grant recently filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut Thursday naming McMahon, WWE and former head of talent relations John Laurinaitis as defendants.

It has come to light that the lawsuit alleges McMahon, Laurinaitis and WWE violated the Trafficking Victims Prevention Act, and it includes claims of civil battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress about years-long sexual and emotional abuse Grant said she endured as an employee of WWE.

The lawsuit is seeking unspecified monetary damages as well as a declaratory judgment that a nondisclosure agreement Grant signed while she was a WWE employee is “void and unenforceable, and does not bar any of Plaintiff’s claims against Defendants McMahon and WWE.”

Meanwhile, WWE President Nick Khan talked about his working relationship with TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon.

Speaking about their history on The Pat McAfee Show, Khan revealed that respect was a guiding factor in interactions with McMahon, saying:

“You can disagree with any point of view, and the folks who have succeeded tremendously at WWE… I’m talking about executives on the outside, Kevin Dunn, Paul Levesque, many, many others they all had that trait where they understood, this is the boss.

“He was the controlling shareholder, the founder of the company, this and that, so you’re not going to call him out in a room full of people if you disagree with something, you’re not going to be rude.”

Khan believes McMahon prefers being polite:

“He prefers to be polite, but he’s certainly comfortable if it has to go a different route, so what I’ve found with Vince was I can say anything to him directly in person as long as it was in a respectful way. He’d always hear it and oftentimes he’d agree with it.”

Khan also commented on recently seeing McMahon at the New York Stock Exchange, concluding:

“In terms of how often I’m in touch with him, I just saw him today at the New York Stock Exchange, he looks amazing, he’s still buff as can be, he’s still suited up and ready to go.”
