Update: WWE have confirmed Chris Jericho will be on Broken Skull Sessions, could he be back for more WWE appearances after? We’ll have to see. Steve Austin said Vince McMahon personally approved the interview.
WWE doesn’t like to mention anyone outside of the WWE once they have jumped ship and moved onto another company. However, this may not be the case for the great, Y2J, Chris Jericho as we approach this year’s WrestleMania event. Chris Jericho Tried To Get AEW Star ‘New WWE Deal’
WWE Network took to Twitter recently and put up a very cryptic countdown clock. Now, the first thing you will notice about the clock is that it features all of the ins and outs of Stone Cold Steve Austin all over it due to the skull with glowing red eyes.
What’s a little more cryptic with the clock is that the clock is the classic style of a countdown clock that Chris Jericho used during the era of Y2J. That’s not it thought. The countdown clock also packs Jericho’s Y2J countdown theme song intro.
Many are writing the countdown clock off as an April Fool’s joke by WWE, but legally, I’m not sure if they can allude to anything Chris Jericho unless it was already discussed ahead of time by WWE and AEW. Let me be clear, I’m not sure how that meeting would even go.
What’s more is some have stated that maybe, just maybe, WWE and AEW have come to terms with each other and will let Stone Cold have Jericho as a guest on The Broken Skull Sessions in which WWE hosts along with Stone Cold.
No foolin' around here. You're gonna get … IT! 🤯 @IAmJericho joins @steveaustinBSR on the next #BrokenSkullSessions, premiering Sunday, April 11 on @PeacockTV in the U.S. and @WWENetwork everywhere else! pic.twitter.com/fQPzQ3QBDW
