Vince McMahon List Of Banned WWE Words Leaks

Vince McMahon and WWE had a list of terms they banned from the promotion of WrestleMania 36, Fightful Select reports. They mentioned ‘dirt sheets’ and how using terms could be ‘interpreted’ by them, and there was a push for ‘sports entertainment’ and ‘superstars’ over ‘wrestling’ and ‘wrestlers.’

“Do not use messaging that enables or encourages fans to speak negatively about the product. Always present WWE and talent in a positive light.” Vince McMahon sending a bold ‘warning’ to Hulk Hogan leaked.

The list of banned terms included:
Blood
Choke
Belt
Strap
Diva
Head shot
Trauma
Kayfabe
Mofos
House show
DQ
The Anti-Diva
Spinal injuries
Victim
Violence/violent
Wrestling/wrestlers
WWF
Wifebeater
Curb Stomp
Needs a push
To be over
Babyface
Heel
To job/jobber
Card
Strangle
Kill
Murder

The last three definitely bring back memories of the Chris Benoit double murder suicide from 2007, with Daniel Bryan even getting fired over using a ‘strangling’ type move on Justin Roberts in 2010. Diva is interesting, since Total Divas is still on the air. Many others are insider terms, and others are Vince McMahon favorites to ban like belt and house shows. Other terms went away with the politically correct PG era that has grown in the last decade in WWE and sanitized and watered down the WWE product.
