WWE Legend Had Affair With Republican Politician’s Mom?

According to Daily Mail UK, former WWE star Stan Lane has undergone a second DNA test to disprove claims that he is the father of Colorado Congresswoman Lauren Boebert. The politician’s mother, Shawn Roberts Bentz, had long maintained that Lane fathered her daughter during a brief fling in the 1980s. However, a court-ordered paternity test conducted in 1990 had already shown that Lane was not Boebert’s biological father.

Doubts regarding the legitimacy of the test arose when it was revealed that the lab worker responsible for collecting Lane’s blood sample had been convicted of accepting a bribe to switch vials in another case. Bentz called for an investigation into Lane, leading him to agree to a second paternity test in May. The results conclusively proved that he is not the father of Rep. Boebert, who is now 36 years old.

Stan Lane, renowned for his career in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and later in the WWE as an announcer, allowed Boebert to handle his DNA sample in an effort to allay any concerns. The test results, which came back on May 11, confirmed that Lane is not her biological father.

Lane, through a statement issued by a close friend to wrestling news website PWInsider.com, expressed relief that the matter had been settled and accepted Boebert’s apology on behalf of herself and her mother. He also acknowledged the toll that the situation and the false claims made against him over the years had taken on him and his family. Lane felt that his previously untarnished reputation had been considerably affected, and he lamented being dragged into the controversy along with close members of his inner circle.

Lauren Boebert, in response to the DNA results, confirmed that Stan Lane is not her biological father. While she personally had never publicly claimed him as her father, she acknowledged that the allegation had been circulating. Boebert humorously noted that Toby Keith’s song “Who’s Your Daddy” now held new significance in light of the DNA results.

The complicated situation dates back to Lane’s early wrestling career when he resided in Florida and worked for Championship Wrestling. Following a brief relationship with Bentz, Boebert was born in 1986, and Lane claims to have received a notice accusing him of paternity. The 1990 paternity test, conducted when Boebert was three years old, conclusively proved that Lane was not her father, relieving him of any child support obligations.

However, when Bentz learned about the lab worker’s conviction for tampering with samples, she petitioned for an investigation into Lane. To alleviate any doubts, Lane agreed to take another test, leaving the sample in Boebert’s care. Lane harbors no resentment towards the Republican politician and wishes her luck in her quest to find her real father. He describes his interactions with Mrs. Boebert as pleasant and enjoyable, and he hopes that she finds the answers she has been seeking.
