WWE Hall of Famer Jim Duggan has been dealing with health issues for a long time. Over the years his health has deteriorated as he has been making frequent visits to the hospital for one reason or the other in the past few years.
Jim Duggan’s wife Debra Duggan took to Twitter and issued a statement about her husband’s health. She revealed that the WWE Hall of Famer was hospitalized. She noted that he had emergency surgery and everything went well.
“We want to thank everyone that came out yesterday as Jim was honored by the Glens Falls Firefighters Association and apologize to those that came after 3:30.
Jim was taken to the hospital and admitted yesterday evening. He had emergency surgery this morning and everything went well. We will reschedule tomorrow in Utica, MI for a later time. We welcome your prayers and we will continue to provide updates.

In October 2021, Duggan had revealed that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He had been living with for a couple of months. Duggan would undergo surgery later that month and would confirm he was cancer-free that December.
In May of last year, Duggan took to Twitter to disclose that his cancer had returned. In August, Duggan revealed in an emotional video that he had once again beaten cancer.
During his career in WWE, Duggan never held gold with the promotion but would win the very first Royal Rumble match in 1988. In WCW, Duggan won the United States Heavyweight Champion and was the final Television Champion. In 2004, Duggan would win the first and only World Championship of his career, winning and promptly vacating the IWA World Heavyweight Championship in Tokyo.
