WWE nixes plans for 2019 Mae Young Classic

WWE had recently started advertising the 2019 version of the Mae Young Classic tournament but the company has now reportedly nixed the plans for the same.

NXT’s ticket website had recently started advertising the MYC tapings for early November and according to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company had planned to host it on November 2 and November 3 from Full Sail Live.

However, the plans for the tournament abruptly changed and the Newsletter is reporting that the company has now decided to hold off another Mae Young Classic tournament until 2020.

It’s unknown why the officials decided to nix these plans but it was a recent decision as back in August, Triple H had commented on the matter and said that they were planning to hold the tournament later in the year.

H had indicated that they had to push back the plans for MYC due to the many happenings in WWE and it’s likely that the company has decided to focus on their premiere shows instead of the tournament for now.
