WWE SmackDown Live Results for 10/11/16

Here are the results from tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live (courtesy of PWInsider):

This week’s show starts off with a look back at what happened at No Mercy last Sunday night.

We are in San Jose, California and your announcers are Mauro Ranallo, David Otunga, and John Layfield.

Dolph Ziggler makes his way to the ring.

He says the weeks and moments leading up to No Mercy go the best of him and he put his title on the line for one more shot at the Intercontinental Title.  He did not know if he would be here and he tells people to hit the preview button on your guide.  He did not know if that was going to be the last time he was going to see the fans, get taped up, or formulate a plan for his match.  He did not know if he would spray tan Zack Ryder’s back for the last time.

For the first time in twelve years, Dolph says he doubted himself and he thought he made a mistake.  He had people telling him he didn’t have to do this, but Dolph says he did.  Dolph says he knew the moment he walked down that ramp and set foot in this ring, he knew this is where he belonged.  This is his home and no matter what, at No Mercy, hell was going to freeze over, but he would walk out as Intercontinental Champion.

Miz’ music plays and he comes to the ring.

Miz and Maryse hold a moment of silence and Dolph wants to know if they are going to say something.  MIz says he wants to mourn the death of the Intercontinental Title.  He asks if everyone is happy.  A title was not lost, it was the death of a title.  He was champion for 188 days.  He brought the prestige back, not Dolph and not Daniel Bryan.  He made this the most prestigious title on Smackdown.  Your victory is a funeral for the Intercontinental Title’s legacy.  It is dragged down by the mediocrity of you.  If you think this is the end, you are delusional.  This is act two.  This is where the hero is in peril and he has to overcome the odds.  Dolph is a temporarylayover.  This is the Empire Strikes Back.  He says the ending will be that he gets the gold and the girl, and he already has the girl.

Dolph says he is glad that Miz is out here right now.  Dolph says he was going to share something with the entire WWE Universe.

We have a video package and it is of what happened on Sunday night.

Dolph wants to go back to see if Miz was crying.  Dolph asks Miz if he is about to cry now.

Miz asks Dolph if he thinks this is funny.  You and Daniel Bryan got a good laugh out of that.  That face was all of the things he did and the sacrifices he made being taken away.

Miz says the crowd would not know about sacrifice.  If you think for one second that he did everything to keep that, what will he do to get it back.  Miz says he is not done with Dolph and . . . neither are they.

Kenny and Mikey come out and they have a cheer for Dolph and they tell Dolph he has to face both of them in a Handicap Match.

We are back and we see how Ziggler versus Miz would have looked on WWE 2K17.

Daniel Bryan is with Shane McMahon and he says they have been trying to figure out how to make Survivor Series the best.  Shane says that since this is the night that Raw and Smackdown compete on the same show, they have an opportunity.  Shane says opportunity is what is giving Smackdown the buzz.  Shane is making a challenge for a five on five match with the men.  Daniel says they are also challenging to have the five best tag teams challenge Raw’s five best tag teams.  Shane says they would also like to make a five on five challenge with the women.

Daniel Bryan hears what Alexa said and he says if Alexa can beat Naomi any day of the week, how about next Tuesday.

The WWE World Champion AJ Styles makes his way to the ring.

AJ says the Champ is here.  AJ says that has a nice ring to it.  He beat Dean Ambrose and he beat John Cena.  He beat John Cena and Dean Ambrose at the same time at No Mercy.  That is not just great, that is Phenomenal.  He tells people to cheer for him, and then he calls them a bunch of losers.  You live vicariously through him because he is the champ.  There is only room for one on this bandwagon.  Why don’t you go cheer for John Cena?   You can’t do that because John is trying to be Kelly Ripa’s co-host.  You can cheer for Dean Ambrose.

AJ is shocked people would cheer for that lunatic loser.  AJ says it is time to talk about him.  AJ says he beat Dean Ambrose.  HE beat John Cena.  Some may not have liked the way it happened, but AJ is a winner and winners find a way to win.  AJ reminds everyone he beat Dean Ambrose and John Cena at the same time and he says it another time.  Most champions would take a year or a month off after that type of win.  Not AJ.  Smackdown is the land of opportunity.  AJ says he is going to give someone an opportunity tonight.  He will give a man a main event opportunity and he tells that man to come on down.

Dean Ambrose makes his way to the ring, but it does not appear to be the man AJ was thinking about.
