A surprising recently drafted Smackdown Star was pitched to Win the new World Heavyweight Title then be traded to Raw after NOC. This was a pitch not locked in. Will leave people to guess names.

Last week’s episode of SmackDown marked the beginning of this year’s WWE Draft, where talent from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT were shuffled around to different brands. Unlike in previous years, where post-WrestleMania call-ups were a surprise, this year’s draft was conducted as a more traditional event.
Surprisingly, some of the biggest names in WWE were not informed in advance that they would be changing brands. Even NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre were caught off guard by the announcement that they were being called up to the main roster. The changes to the roster will officially take effect after this Saturday’s Backlash pay-per-view.
In a recent interview with David LaGreca and Mark Henry of Busted Open Radio, Fyre and Dawn discussed their reactions to the draft. Fyre admitted that it still hasn’t quite sunk in yet, and that they had no idea that they were going to be drafted.
Dawn chimed in, noting that their shocked expressions during the announcement were genuine. She also pointed out that their victory at the Stand & Deliver event a month ago was only their second televised match as a team.
Both Fyre and Dawn expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to compete on the main roster, and acknowledged the hard work that got them to this point. As the roster changes take effect, fans will be eagerly watching to see how the draft will shake up the landscape of WWE.
Fyre: “I’ve been saying it for days. I still don’t feel like it’s quite settled in yet. We had no idea. No idea that we were going to be drafted.”
Dawn: “As you could tell by our eyeballs going (shocked).”
