WWE Star Apologizes After Racism Backlash

Legendary wrestler Ole Anderson recently passed away. Meanwhile, NXT star Brooks Jensen received major backlash from the fans due to his recent action. He apologized for wearing an Ole Anderson shirt after learning about his racist allegations. However, the criticism continued and that led to him deciding to take a sabbatical from social media.

In response, Jensen apologized on social media, explaining he was not aware of the allegations against Ole when he wore the shirt. He emphasized that he is against racism, hate, or bullying, stating that while he respected Ole for his wrestling, he was unaware of the associated allegations at the time.

”I will never support any racism, hate, or bullying. While I respected Ole for his wrestling it was news to me after wearing the tshirt that he was associated with these allegation’s. Ive noticed my “looks” and where I’m from are frequently stigmatized with the underbelly of our society (i.e racists) but this mullet just likes to give love and party. My apologies to anyone who knew the allegations prior and were offended by the shirt. I’m learning and this was noted.”

Jensen still got a lot of backlash even after his apology, and so he took to Twitter once again to announce that he would be taking a break from social media in general.

”Guys after everything that has happened I’m gonna take a break from social media. Just gotta think on some stuff… Thank you for the love and support #WWENXT”
