In fact, Roberts has previously criticized McMahon for his behavior towards people in the WWE. McMahon has been known to humiliate people in the industry, which Roberts finds distasteful and unprofessional. However, the recent revelations about McMahon’s behavior go far beyond mere humiliation.
Last year, it was revealed that McMahon had secretly paid $3 million to a departing paralegal as part of a hush money deal. Subsequent investigations revealed that McMahon had paid a total of $12 million in hush money to several women over the course of two decades. Recently, while speaking with DJ Vlad, Jake Roberts revealed that he had heard rumors of McMahon having affairs with three of his co-workers. Roberts also claimed that McMahon had paid hush money in the past to keep these affairs quiet.
When asked if this was the first time McMahon had paid hush money, Roberts responded, “It’s not the first time.” He went on to confirm that he had heard about incidents like these happening before, stating, “Oh god, yeah.” Roberts also stated that he had heard about three specific incidents of McMahon having affairs with his co-workers.
“(Vince McMahon paying ‘hush money’) It’s not the first time. (If Roberts has heard about things like these happen before) Oh god, yeah. (When asked about how many incidents he’s heard about) Three. (On whether Vince McMahon was having affairs with his co-workers and paying them off afterwards) Yeah. This is the time that it got outside the (bubble).”
While McMahon has admitted to personal mistakes regarding the hush money scandal, his behavior has remained controversial.
