WWE Top Name Quits After 25 Years

A WWE name in an executive position has departed the company after working there for 25 years, since 1999. As reported by PWInsider, John Porco is gone from WWE. Porco last served as WWE’s Executive Vice President of Live Events.

According to the report from Mike Johnson of PW Insider, the departure took place last month.

“Porco had been with the company from June 1999, originally as a Public Relations Coordinator. He moved to the live events department in 2002, working as Director of Marketing from that point through 2022, by which point he had been named Senior Vice President of Live Events Marketing. He was named EVP of Live Events in May 2022.”

It seems that Porco’s exit certainly adds up to WWE’s ongoing organizational shifts after Vince McMahon’s resignation earlier this year, with Justin Scalise stepping in as the new Executive Vice President of Live Events.

Porco had started his career in WWE in 1999 as Public Relations Coordinator and moved to the live events department in 2002. He then worked as Director of Marketing for 20 years until 2022 when he was named Executive Vice President of Live Events. It is the same position he held until his recent exit.

Well, there are no details as of yet regarding the exact nature of how or why the departure took place.
