We noted before how WWE was still planning a match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns and the most likely destination for it looked to be the SummerSlam PPV.
However, an update on the situation revealed that a SummerSlam appearance from the Beast was not a done deal and now a new report makes things worse.
According to Pwinsider, Brock is not only expected to miss the SummerSlam PPV but the Universal Champion is not expected to defend his title until later this year.
This is likely another effort from WWE to try and get some heat on Lesnar so whenever he finally drops the title, people will cheer his opponent.
Brock Lesnar last defended the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns in a steel cage match at the Greatest Royal Rumble in April earlier this year.
