Pwinsider is reporting that Former CZW Champion and former ROH Star Lio Rush is expected to sign a contract with WWE’s Development Territory NXT soon.
These reports emerged after Rush announced during last night’s CZW event that he’ll be making his final appearance for Combat Zone Wrestling on 5th August where he’ll face Joey Janella.
According to the site, Lio was in the home of NXT Orlando, Florida last week and the backstage word at the latest CZW show was that he was offered an NXT Contract during his visit.
Lio Rush started working for ROH back in December 2015. He left the company in March earlier this year after his contract expired because he allegedly didn’t want to sign another exclusive deal.
Considering the fact that Lio Rush is just 22 years old, there is a lot of potential in him and if used right by WWE, he can surely become a big star in upcoming days.
