Former NXT Champion Aleister Black suffered a groin injury back in August, and WWE Officials decided to turn this whole situation into a mystery attacker angle.
As per the latest updates, it’s believed that Black will be back in action by the time of Takeover: War Games II during the Survivor Series weekend and he will likely face whoever is revealed as his attacker.
Since Survivor Series is less than 2 months away, it’s believed that the storyline will progress now and it won’t be long before the company reveals the culprit for the attack on Black.
During the latest episode of NXT, General Manager William Regal noted that he is close to finishing the investigation on who attacked the former NXT Champion.
Not only that, but Nikki Cross interrupted Sarah Schreiber’s backstage interview with the Undisputed Era as seen in the video below and claimed that she knows who attacked Aleister:
Now it will be interesting to see how the company ties up all these plot points and who at the end is revealed as the man behind the attack.
