One of the biggest names which AEW officials were rumored to be interested in before the company’s Double Or Nothing Rally this week, was the former World Champion Goldberg.
However so far there is no solid news on the former World Champion having any negotiation with the promotion and if we believe the president Tony Khan then the two parties have not agreed to anything so far.
Khan was a recent guest on X-Pac’s 12360 Podcast, and when asked about the rumors of Goldberg being involved, he said that he likes Bill but they haven’t agreed to anything:
 It’s fun hanging out with Bill. if the situation was right, obviously. Bill in Wrestlemania less than two years ago was defending the WWE Championship, Bill was a good star, and a great attraction. I haven’t agreed to anything with Bill, but I like him a lot. He’s awesome.
Seeing how Tony didn’t completely decline the rumors of their interest in Goldberg, it appears that these speculations are true and since the former Universal Champion is not very hopefull about a WWE return, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he is interested in working with the promotion as well.
