WWE Reportedly considering new titles

WWE Championship

While it’s true that not everything WWE has done to elevate the Women’s Division in recent times has turned out to be a success, you have to give them credit for trying out things such as Women’s Money In The Bank or Hell in A Cell.

And now it appears that the company is planning to take another step into the Women’s Revolution by introducing new titles to the Women’s Division.

During a recent Q&A session in Paris, WWE Hall Of Famer Lita revealed that there have been talks within WWE about introducing a Women’s Tag Team Titles:

“There has been talks of tag titles for the Women’s Division and I think that I love that they first introduced the MITB briefcase, that’s been a long time coming and that adds an element of surprise within the title picture.”

While it’s yet to be seen if these talks actually lead to the introduction of new Tag Titles, it’s definitely an idea that looks to be worth exploring and it could work very well if they use proper storyline to introduce it.

They could have one tag title that’s defended on both shows. That’s how the original men’s tag title worked during the original draft before SD got their own shortly after.

Yes a womens tag title makes sense, but not with the tiny divisions each show has.
The reality of it is that if they do introduce one or more womens tag titles, they need to either go with one womens division or increase the amount of women on each show.
With the recent Mae Young classic, that would be a perfect way to make both divisions bigger, but personally I think they should just have one division.
Raw has the Cruiserweights, SD should have the womens division.
Hell, talking about the cruiserweights, maybe they should get a tag title too. That might help the division as then those guys not in the main title picture actually have something to feud over.

I would like to see them have a mixed tag titles. Give more wrestlers a chance at the spotlight.

Been saying it for years, that the women need a Tag Title, but just ONE!

And who wants to see Undertaker or HHH wrestle at their age, and in the shape they’re in? What about Brock Lesnar, who does the same three moves the entire match? Stipulations are added in order to hide a performer’s inability to put on a good match. I’d rather see Charlotte vs. Bayley in HIAC or a ladder match, than in a singles match any day. Regarding the article, the women really are god awful, with the exception of maybe two or three, who are just below average. So flooding the ring with four women, instead of two, will not generate any more interest in the division. Send the majority of the roster back down to NXT, release a couple entirely, and sign a few from the Mae Young Classic, and then consider your options.

theres already too many womens titles and womens matches. if the women are so good to watch run a womens only event or PPV and see what the viewership/ tickets sales are like. i predict they’ll be rubbish. nobody watches womens sport so why would womens pretend sport be any different? who honestly wants to see charlotte vs bayley in a hell in a cell or ladder match? women are just bad wrestlers. it looks wrong. like think of this, name one moment from the history of womens matches in WWE that is iconic or even great? name one match that is a must see? its just a big pretend we all have to do where we act like we like watching the women matches tho its very cringe and great when its over quickly
