John Cena made his Raw return after almost a year this past Monday Night and as we noted before the Leader of Cenation is expected to stick around the Red Branded Show and he most likely won’t be appearing on SmackDown for a while.
Many people wondered why WWE chose to move Cena on Raw and now a new report from Sports Illustrated has revealed some interesting details about it.
According to the site, the reason why Cena was moved to Raw is because all the possible money making matches he can have there against stars like Braun Strowman, Samoa Joe and Roman Reigns.
The site also notes that Vince McMahon wants Cena to elevate Roman Reigns and give a rub to the Big Dog, which is an interesting claim considering the events of Raw this week.
As seen on Raw Reigns had a small confrontation with Cena and their match ended in controversial fashion as well when Roman accidentally delivered a Superman punch to his Tag Team partner for the night.
Seeing these events, it’s speculated that WWE may be planning a match between these two and this report reaffirms these rumours so it’s possible that we may see this match happening sooner rather than later.
