Paul Heyman has been fired from his position as the Executive Director of RAW. Heyman’s release was reportedly an outcome of Vince McMahon’s frustrations with the declining TV ratings.
However, before his departure from the company, Heyman had been vouching for a string of WWE Superstars. Many underutilized Superstars were given opportunities to make a name for themselves in the company.
Dave Meltzer talked about this issue on Wrestling Observer Newsletter and revealed that Heyman’s departure could spell trouble for existing RAW Superstars. Meltzer said that the likes of Drew McIntyre and The Street Profits are probably not in trouble because they’ve proved themselves to Vince McMahon.
However, the same cannot be said for many other Superstars who were working under Heyman. Andrade, Angel Garza, Aleister Black, Apollo Crews, Austin Theory, and more were the Superstars that Heyman worked with closely.
With Bruce Prichard assuming control of both brands, the futures of these Superstars have become uncertain.
