WWE NXT tends to hold special editions of the two-hour show at times. The previous special, Halloween Havoc was a hit with fans and now another special has been announced.
During NXT TakeOver: WarGames, the company announced that a new special called New Year’s Evil will be taking place in January.
New Year’s Evil will be airing on January 6th on the USA Network. The event is likely to be stacked with matches and promoted heavily. This will be the first episode of the show to air in 2021, and the first episode after the December 30 episode.
It was not mentioned whether WWE will be airing live editions or will tape the December 23rd and December 30th episodes of the show.
