CM Punk is All Elite! The ‘Second City Saint’ made his much-awaited return to professional wrestling during the special edition of AEW Ramage entitled: “The First Dance”. During the event’s opening moments Punk came out to a thunderous and roof-raising pop to which AEW commentator Jim ‘JR’ Ross stated that it gave him goosebumps.
As Punk made his way out to the United Center, fans were so overwhelmed that one certain fan was crying knowing that the former WWE Champion was now in All Elite Wrestling. This top WWE named ‘buried’ CM Punk’s AEW debut.
As one user on Twitter stated: “CM Punk got a man crying in the crowd. This is how much it means to fans for him to be back in wrestling”
CM Punk would also would throw back to his infamous WWE pipebomb by sitting Indian style and told the story about why he chose to leave professional wrestling, going all the way back to leaving Ring of Honor and how he cried because he was leaving his original wrestling home.
Punk would then state that he wants to work with the younger generation of wrestling stars in AEW such as Darby Allin. After seeing Allin and Sting in the rafters, Punk would state he would face Allin in his return match at AEW All Out.
