Could Roman Reigns be leaving WWE? WWE SmackDown this week was a huge night for the company as it was the final edition of the show before WWE’s SummerSlam pay=per-view event. It was a jammed back show which saw WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion defeating Zelina Vega and Carmella in a handicap match and Seth Rollins getting doused in ‘blood’ on the way towards Rollins’ pay-per-view encounter with ‘The Rated R Superstar’ Edge. In addition to all of that action, John Cena and ‘The Head of the Table’ and WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns went face-to-face in a confrontation before the two face each other for Reigns’ championship at ‘The Biggest Party of the Summer’.
Roman called out Cena for saying ‘stupid stuff’ last week, while Cena stated he is gonna take the Universial Championship to Hollywood and leave Reigns as an ’embarrassed mess’.
It was here where the stakes would be incredibly raised. Reigns stated that if he does not beat Cena at WWE
SummerSlam tomorrow – he will leave the WWE.
Ironically enough, one of Reigns’ biggest wins of the year was against Daniel Bryan where Bryan left WWE after he failed to beat ‘The Tribal Chief’ for Reigns’ Universal Championship. In addition, during Reigns’ verbal showdown with Cena, Reigns stated that he beats people so badly that WWE no longer has a use for them – which very well could of been a tounge-in-cheek shot at Bryan.
