John Cena’s return to the WWE Universe at WWE Money in the Bank and subsequent appearances for the company leading up to his ultimately, unsuccessful, WWE Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns provided many memorable moments for the company and fans alike. John Cena recently ‘broke character’ after this Brock Lesnar attack.
However is WWE now censoring John Cena after his latest run? The future WWE Hall of Famer was set to sit down with ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin on his popular ‘Broken Skull Sessions’ interview show. However, it is now being reported via PW Insider that the show has been pulled and will be replaced by an upcoming episode featuring Seth Rollins.
“The announced Broken Skull Sessions episode featuring Steve Austin interviewing John Cena will no longer air on Sunday 9/26 following WWE Extreme Rules on the WWE Network and Peacock. Instead, an episode with Austin talking with Seth Rollins will instead premiere that day.”
John Cena recently took to social media via Twitter to thank the WWE Universe for his latest run in the company after competing for the WWE Universal Championship. Cena would state: “Words cannot describe how appreciative I am that the @WWEUniverse allowed me the opportunity to return and perform. Thank you staff, superstars, and most of all FANS for giving me an unforgettable summer at “home” with my “family”. The journey takes me away now but I’ll C U soon.”
