They also took hurled expletive-filled insults to each other during the pre-fight press conference and during the final staredown at ceremonial weigh-ins.

Colby Covington makes bold drug claims

Covington analyzed Masvidal’s demeanor after their final pre-fight staredown and claimed that he takes GHB, a date-rape drug that he previously accused American Top Team coach Mike Brown of consuming during his fighting career. For those who might not know, Gamma hydroxybutyrate, commonly known as “date rape,” is a depressant and psychoactive drug that can cause hallucinations and amnesia, among many other side effects. It also has been known to be used by some bodybuilders due to its anabolic effects that aid in building muscle and reducing fat. Previously, Jorge Masvidal claimed Colby Covington used drug.

‘Chaos’ bashed Masvidal as he took to his Twitter account to write:

“Maybe you should try that juiced up little drug addict Mike Brown’s favorite trick to take the edge off and fight on some GHB. Yeah I said GHB, but Brown did HGH too because he’s a nut less bitch just like you.”

At Thursday’s pre-fight press conference, Covington had also accused Brown, a former WEC featherweight champion and UFC veteran, of taking human growth hormone and other drugs during his career. After a second public claim during fight week, Brown defended himself and his fighter on social media Friday evening.

“In a sport where the lines of fact and fiction are becoming more blurred all the time, @gamebredfighter has always stayed true to himself and he’s as real as they come,” Brown wrote on Twitter.

The fans are eagerly waiting for Covington vs Masvidal as the arch-rivals collide.
