WWE Executive Bruce Prichard recently revealed how WWE star Brock Lesnar accidentally broke his nose.
Bruce Prichard recalls how Brock Lesnar broke his nose
Aside from executive duties, Prichard was responsible for producing backstage segments during Lesnar’s first run in the company between 2002-2004. Prichard also has artwork in his office that is on display when he films Something To Wrestle. One photo shows Prichard with a black eye.
During a Q&A session on AdFreeShows, Prichard was asked how he got the black eye.
“Brock Lesnar kicked a wall into my face,” he said. “We were in Nova Scotia. We finished up a shoot and the folks that had constructed the wall, hadn’t constructed it very well and were in the process of trying to get Brock out of this room that had started to collapse and Brock didn’t feel like waiting. He started moving walls on his own. When he did, that said wall came crashing into my face. Broke my nose in three places, shattered my orbital.”
Prichard continued and detailed what happened next:
“I flew from Nova Scotia to New York so I could get out of Canada and get home quicker, but I went to a Canadian emergency room. They don’t give me anything for pain or give me a lot of advice on what to do or not to do. They stitched me up, because we didn’t know when I left the building if my eye was there. They sent me on my way, I get on a plane, fly to New York, didn’t have any issues. Go to the hotel, took a shower, I might have tried to blow my nose. Everything shot out then, my orbital completely exploded and my nose pretty much caved in. I had to go to the airport, I’m walking through the airport, I don’t realize this because I can’t feel my face, it’s pretty much numb,
“I don’t realize I’m bleeding out of my eye and it’s streaming down the side of my face. I got a bag, filled it up with ice, and I’m walking through the airport with the cleaning bag on my head with ice. I feel the ice dripping, I think it’s water not knowing it’s mixing with the blood. I get on the plane and they were freaked out. I called a friend, ‘I need you to get me a neurosurgeon and I need to see a doctor as soon as I land because I’m pretty messed up.’ The neurosurgeon calls me back, while I’m in the air, and says, ‘Whatever you do, stay where you are, do not, in any circumstances, get on the plane.’ I didn’t get that message until I was in the car, off the plane, and on my way to the doctor.”
Bruce was unsure of when the incident happened, just saying it was the 2000s. He said his nose had to be completely redone and the photo was taken roughly five days after the incident. When asked if Brock apologized, Bruce said:
“Brock, being the classy guy that he is, sent me a nice note and I don’t know how much king crab and lobster. So much great food from Pike Place Fish and a really nice note and called to check on me. He didn’t mean to do it. It was an accident. He still called to check on me and sent me nice things.”
Brock Lesnar is currently on a hiatus and it has come to light that he has completely changed his look. One of his recent picture also met with immense backlash from the fans. Lesnar keeps his personal life private and usually stays away from the limelight. He resides on a farm in Maryfield, Saskatchewan. Fans are aware that Lesnar likes to hunt. A recent picture of Lesnar is circulating on social media, in which he can be seen posing with the head of a buck that he seemingly killed.
Lesnar recently had a gruesome battle in a Last Man Standing match with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. Lesnar made his entrance for the match on a tractor at SummerSlam. He had also used the vehicle and lopsided the ring, Reigns being inside the squared circle.
