Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks could be moving to AEW in the near future. Banks has been away from WWE for a few months now. Banks and Naomi had allegedly walked out of Monday Night RAW few months back due to creative differences. There have been various sides to the story already reported, including that the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions confronted then the WWE Chairman Vince McMahon over their issue. Reports also emerged that she could sign with NJPW. Recently, there have been reports that Banks departed over the issue with money.
Teddy Long talks about Sasha Banks WWE payment controversy
Now, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long believes that Sasha Banks’ pay controversy might’ve stemmed from an internal issue. The former SmackDown General Manager provided his take on the subject during an appearance on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s One On One podcast.
He said:
“It could be some inside thing we may not even know about that was keeping her from getting that kind of money. So I just don’t know what to tell you, man. Maybe the guy who was there, Laurinaitis, maybe he got something to do with it, too. So you just never know.”
