Trump’s Girl Pleads Guilty In Painful Video

According to Mediaite, Jenna Ellis, known for her representation of former President Donald Trump in lawsuits related to the 2020 presidential election results, has reached a plea deal in a Georgia case linked to those efforts. The charges stemmed from an alleged conspiracy to alter Georgia’s electoral votes in favor of Trump, despite Joe Biden’s legitimate win.

Ellis has pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting false statements and writings, leading to her agreement to pay a $5,000 restitution and serve a 5-year probation period. Initially facing charges of racketeering and soliciting a public official to violate their oath, Ellis becomes the third former attorney associated with Trump to strike a deal in the case, following Sidney Powell and Kenneth Cheseboro.

In a heartfelt statement delivered in court, Ellis expressed profound regret for her actions and acknowledged her failures in ensuring the accuracy of the information she presented. As a lawyer with a strong commitment to ethical practice and integrity, she acknowledged her reliance on others for information and her failure to thoroughly verify the facts in the haste of addressing post-election challenges in multiple states.

Ellis further expressed her belief in the importance of election integrity, noting that she would have declined to represent Trump had she possessed the knowledge she has now. Her remorse extends to her previous censure by the Colorado Bar, and she extends an apology to the people of Georgia.

Thank you, Your Honor, for the opportunity to address the court. As an attorney who is also a Christian, I take my responsibilities as a lawyer very seriously, and I endeavor to be a person of sound moral and ethical character in all of my dealings. In the wake of the 2020 presidential election, I believed that challenging the results on behalf of President Trump should be pursued in a just and legal way. I endeavored to represent my client to the best of my ability. I relied on others, including lawyers with many more years of experience than I to provide me with true and reliable information, especially since my role involved speaking to the media and to legislators in various states. What I did not do, but should have done, Your Honor, was to make sure that the facts the other lawyers alleged to be true were in fact true. In the frenetic pace of attempting to raise challenges to the election in several states, including Georgia, I failed to do my due diligence. I believe in and I value election integrity. If I knew then what I know now, I would have declined to represent Donald Trump in these post-election challenges. I look back on this whole experience with deep remorse. For those failures of mine, Your Honor, I have taken responsibility already before the Colorado Bar who censured me, and I now take responsibility before this court and apologize to the people of Georgia. Thank you.

Reports have suggested that Ellis, Powell, and Cheseboro might be cooperating with prosecutors in their cases, possibly implicating Trump in the process. As details regarding the implications of the plea deal continue to unfold, the case underscores the ongoing legal repercussions of the events following the 2020 presidential election.
