According to Mediaite, Former President Donald Trump recently took to his Truth Social account to criticize MSNBC and Comcast CEO Brian Roberts. In his post, Trump made several claims, including an erroneous statement that MSNBC uses “FREE government approved airwaves,” despite the fact that MSNBC is a cable news outlet, not broadcast on government-approved airwaves.
Trump went on to label Brian Roberts, the Chairman and CEO of Comcast, as a “slimeball” and accused him of overseeing a network that engages in a “24-hour hit job on Donald J. Trump and the Republican Party for purposes of ELECTION INTERFERENCE.” Trump suggested that Roberts has been able to get away with these alleged attacks for years.
The former president called for government intervention, stating, “Our so-called ‘government’ should come down hard on them and make them pay for their illegal political activity.” This statement raises concerns about potential threats to the First Amendment and free speech if Trump were to return to the White House.
