It has come to light that Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) was recently booed when she was introduced by former President Donald Trump during his speech celebrating his projected victory in the South Carolina presidential primary on Saturday night via Mediaite.
It has been noted that Trump kicked off the speech by railing against President Joe Biden and joking that he wished the presidential election could be tomorrow. He then brought up Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) for a few words. Scott spoke briefly — but energetically — and was well-received.
However, Donald Trump’s next guest was not. He introduced Lindsey Graham as “a little bit further left than some people on this stage.” Loud boos broke out in the room and kept up as Trump tried to calm them down.
“No, no. Remember,” Trump said, but the boos continued. “I love him, he’s a good man. Come up here Lindsey,” Trump said.
“America, the nightmare you are facing is just about over,” Graham said, to some cheers but loud boos.
Donald Trump returned to the microphone and quickly moved on.
Trump shouting out South Carolina GOP Chair Drew McKissick also prompted loud boos, to which Trump replied: “We have a highly opinionated group of people!”
