Trump Caught Lying To Judge After Golfing?

Former President Donald Trump is facing backlash after he complained about his inability to campaign due to the ongoing Stormy Daniels hush money trial, despite having three days a week free from court obligations.

In a clip shared on X, Trump lamented his inability to campaign, saying, “I’m supposed to be in New Hampshire. I’m supposed to be in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina. I’m supposed to be gone in a lot of different places campaigning, but I’ve been here all day on a trial that is a very unfair trial.” He was seen holding a stack of printed stories and headlines that he claimed contained opinions from “legal experts,” calling the criminal case “ridiculous.”

The clip was shared by Ron Filipkowski from Meidas Touch, who wrote, “He’s averaged one day a week of campaigning for 18 months and six days of golf. He’s full of s—. Keep crying. Trial is four days a week. That gives him three off minimum, plus holidays. Let’s see how many of those three off days he spends actually campaigning.” Filipkowski later noted that Trump did not campaign on a recent day off from court, accusing him of being “whiny, soft, pampered, spoiled, wannabe victim” who complains about unfair treatment.

Other Twitter users joined in on mocking Trump for his complaints. One user questioned why Trump would campaign in South Carolina, suggesting that a golf course might be the reason for his interest. Another user pointed out that Trump receives ample media coverage, allowing him to give rally-length speeches daily as he leaves the courthouse. A third user commented, “Maybe he shouldn’t have crimed [sic] then.”

Trump’s vocal dissatisfaction with the ongoing trial and the gag order issued by Judge Juan Merchan has resulted in several Truth Social posts where he ranted about “presidential immunity” and how his “constitutional rights” were violated. He is expected to face a hearing on Tuesday, April 23, to determine if he violated the gag order and what potential consequences he might face.
