This week both AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT had live shows and went head to head for the first time in 2020. It seems Dynamite came out on top.
According to a report by Showbuzz Daily, AEW Dynamite received in 947,000 viewers on January 8th. They also got a .36 in the 18-49 demographic.
On the other hand, NXT received 721,000 viewers with a .19 in the 18-49 demographic. This is the second time AEW Dynamite had more ratings than NXT this year. Last week’s Dynamite had 967,000 viewers and NXT got 548,000 viewers with their best-of January 1st special episode.
The Wednesday Night Wars are intensifying as both promotions are trying to put out the best product.
