AEW Reportedly Sign Biggest WWE Free Agent

The appearance in NJPW, the bizarre exit from WWE Monday Night Raw, all points towards Sasha Banks potentially jumping the Titanic, in hope of less murky waters of AEW world. If Banks does arrive on TNT, it’ll certainly work wonders to boost her already controversial career. Remember when Medusa jumped ship from WWF to WCW during the Monday Night wars?

As per Ringside News, Sasha Banks walked out on WWE during the Vince McMahon regime (before he stepped down as chairman) New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) capitalized on the opportunity and offered Banks to appear at the upcoming Wrestle Kingdom 17 event. The AEW roster is under the impression, and rightfully so, that Banks will join the company.

Sean Sapp provided an update on Sasha Banks potential arrival in AEW from behind Fightful’s paywall. According to the report, some stars within the promotion think Banks will show up as Saraya’s mystery tag team partner at Dynamite on January 11th.

We are told that upon arriving in Japan, Mercedes has been out socializing and in good spirits based on those that we spoke with. There were attempts from media outlets to land interviews, but were told that would be up to Mercedes herself if she wished to do them. In speaking with some names in conjunction with the event, they know that Mercedes will be there, but still have not been told what exactly she’s doing, as it’s being kept very quiet. There are even other talent that spoke to her and she didn’t tell them what she’d be doing.
