AEW Star Breaks Silence On Rumor He Is Dying

William Regal had a memorable run in WWE, where he was a multi-time champion. He was the general manager of NXT as well for a long time. However, Willaim Regal was fired by WWE earlier this year as part of NXT’s budget cuts.

 


 

William Regal eventually made his way to AEW as he debuted during the AEW Revolution pay-per-view on March 6th, following Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson’s intense match. William Regal then proceeded to cut a passionate promo on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, where  During the promo, Regal also stated that he did not have much time left, which scared fans.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, William Regal, who almost died due to substance abuse long ago, could be facing a health crisis.

Regal mentioned having limited time left and it freaked people out. While Regal openly in his autobiography and public appearances has talked extensively about substance abuse issues that nearly killed him a generation ago, that killed his career until he and Chris Benoit had a great match at the Brian Pillman Memorial show one year and he was so good it renewed interest in him and he worked for WWE for a long period after being brought back. Apparently, Regal’s health issues at this stage are far more serious than have ever come out and there is an interview that will be released next week that he did for Talk is Jericho that will detail them

In other news, Vince McMahon has been WWE Chairman since 1982 when he bought WWE from his father Vince Sr and his partners. McMahon saw quite a few changes in his company over the last few decades on top of that. All through that, the WWE Chairman continued to adapt to the changing times. However, many fans now feel that he is out of touch and simply has no idea what is good for a WWE Superstar and their growth. The WWE Chairman is larger than life in many ways and he also has his own oddities and problems as well.

In an update to this story, William Regal has denied the rumors.
