The Retribution storyline saw a big development last week when Mustafa Ali was revealed as the leader of the group and AJ Styles recently revealed his thoughts on this confirmation.
The former world champion returned for his weekly Twitch Stream where he talked about a number of things including his recent loss to Jey Uso and more.
Styles was asked by a fan about the revelation of Mustafa Ali being the leader of the new WWE faction and the Phenomenal One explained that the storyline has the potential to be something really special:
“I don’t know, to be honest with you, let’s see where it goes. I think it has the potential to be something really special and entertaining. Ali’s awesome and he’s waited long enough to be in something and I really hope it pays off for him. I’m really excited for him. I think he’s going to be great and do well. I’m hoping he does well. He’s got all the talent, now it’s time to put it to work.”
Apart from this, AJ Styles also revealed that he was hoping that WWE would be able to start touring again in some capacity in November but he is a little bit more skeptical about it now.
