With all of the firings that WWE have been pulling out of thin air and getting rid of tons of fan favorites, we can only imagine and speculate who may be next on the chopping block as WWE has made it clear that they are nowhere near done yet as over fifty stars have been let go since January. Let’s talk about AJ Styles for a moment in the running for big names. It would be fair to assume that AJ would stay with the company as WWE would be way out of pocket to ever let him go. Well, this could be true, but maybe AJ himself is looking to jump ship once his contract is up. Surely, he must have a lot of time left on the contract, right? Wrong.
Recently, on RussosBrand.com, our favorite source for all things wrestling, Billi Bhatti, took to the show to state that AJ may be gearing up to head elsewhere. Billi Bhatti stated that the current pay for AJ Styles is a whopping $750,000 per year.
The first year of AJ’s run in WWE, he made over $1,500,000 and because he was enjoying the cash flow so much, he then extended his contract for 3 years in January 2019. With that, he was offered five years at the rate of $2,000,000 per year. This contract expires in January according to Bhatti, and as of now, which means AJ could leave if he chooses.
